Biography
Abner Van Metre was born in 1808. He married Elizabeth Metzler, daughter of Peter Metzler, on 10 Apr 1834 at Tippecanoe, Indiana.[1] They resided for a short time in Indiana then moved to Mercer, Illinois before 1840. Among their children are:
